An Important Message from Fred Brito
STOP. Whatever you are doing and read.
As I turned on the TV news all this past week, I saw so much going wrong in this country. People are killing each other and children and families are leaving their homes and moving to homeless shelters. Their dreams vanished before their eyes. This economy is rough on many, but more are feeling the pain in very real ways.
Now, I have never asked for anything of you before, but I do now. Please... find someone who needs help and help them. No matter if you have nothing to give. Give Friendship. Give Love.
Help make the pain of this economy a bit easier by sharing with people everywhere that they are not alone and that we are all in this together. Say it from your heart, and not merely in words. Sometimes a simple act or gesture will go a long way. A smile, or even a hug.
Reach out to the elderly and children. Knock on the doors of your neighbors and ask a simple question. "Are you okay." If they are okay, then move on to the next house, and when you find a family that needs help. BE their help. Do what you can and mean what you say and do.
When you have knocked on every door on your block, then two things would have happened. (1) You met your neighbors maybe for the very first time and (2), you are doing what you can to make a huge difference in their lives. It is through your good deeds that make our neighborhood a little bit better. Encourage others to do the same. Create teams that will work together and not make this a one-time thing, but something that will last a lifetime. Teach your children to care now, and they won't forget it when they have children of their own.
You see when I grew up in Los Angeles in the early 60's this was what I experienced. I was eight years old, and I remember, people helping us, because we had no food. I remember people constantly asking us, if we were okay. In those days people really cared for others, and it was not only church people either. Each person on our block knew each other. We cared for each other and we watched out for each other.
But those days are no more. They’re a thing of the past. But I tell you; we need those days now more than ever. Few people think about others outside of their own family. They see people suffering and who may have lost their way along the roadside, and pretend they don't exits and we look away as if they are inhuman. But their not. The people you see are very human. It is someone’s son; daughter, mother or sister and we could all be in their shoes in a matter of seconds. All it takes is for a disaster to hit us and we lose everything. Yet we say, "Oh it won't happen to me." Really? I have yet to meet anyone who could tell the future. So we may as well start doing what we can to help others, as I have said before... it is through my giving that I receive.
Now I can say a whole lot more here... but I won't. I am hopeful that you "Got the Message." At least I have hope that you have.
So here is my finally question. Won't you take these times seriously? Won't you take a moment and find someone who lives on your block who needs help and help them? Won't you take a moment and spend an hour once a week or if nothing else, once a month to help at the local homeless shelter? Won't you take a look inside your closet and find the coat or sweater that you have not used in years and give it to someone that you don't know who needs it? Won't you consider doing this not just once, but always for the rest of your life no mater if our economy improves? Won't you join me, in building a bridge between the have's and the have's not? And finally, won't you take a moment and find a quiet place and be alone for a moment and take this message to heart.
I lived in Las Cruces for the past three years. I did what I could to make a difference, yet you never knew it. Behind the scenes, I was doing what I love doing. And so I ask you to join me, not in words, but in deeds. Please. . . do what you can to help others. Especially now, when so many are losing everything, including hope.
Won't you reach out and do the human thing verses only caring about those in your own family? It is through giving, that we receive. We get ten fold what we give. It may not happen when WE want it to happen, but I promise you, you will get exactly what you give. So give good. Give Love. Give Friendship.... and when you do, you won't have anything to worry about. I know this first hand.
One final note: The attached video (and I hope you will watch it) was taken in a Holland train station. It caught people by surprise. As people were going about their business, suddenly music began to blare from the terminal speakers and suddenly one man began to dance, until it was literally hundreds dancing. What did this simple act do for the people? It took them away for a brief moment to laugh, smile and enjoy the little things in life. You see, it only takes one to make a difference and others will join in.
I am proud to be a part of this very same experience soon to come to New York's Penn Station in late May. I am learning my dance part, and we will all come together from all parts of America and reenact this same production when the very least would ever suspect it. Literally thousands will converge on the New York train station and for one brief moment, we will dance and sing, and our hope is that we will make people smile, and forget their worries if even for a moment. I am happy to be number 2803 in this company of friends whom I don't know yet but once we converge upon New York, we will be a family.
So please watch the video, and in your own way, won't you help make a difference in this country, by doing something so simple as to say, "I love you" to someone you do not know. Be Peace. Be Joy. Be Human.

Excerpt from a Keynote speech by Fred Brito in San Francisco, California on March 1, 2009 at The San Francisco Consortium:
Like a politician campaigning for public office, Fred Brito is constantly on a plane and traveling to many of the nation's hot spots. While he is not campaigning for public office, he is on a personal mission to speak out and defend the many who have lost their way. And he is doing it on his own dime and on his own conditions.
Below is an excerpt of a speech that he gave in San Francisco, California at the San Francisco Consortium. This was a four-day seminar that he created and organized in order to help the many who have severely been impacted by the U.S. economy. The attendees were people who have lost everything or who have fallen through the cracks of society and seek a way out. Fred Brito, without notes, speaks from his heart and guides the attendees in his Keynote Address, his dreams and his desires for the people unfold.
This is a tremendous accomplishment by someone who suffered a series of setbacks in his own life. "No longer can we just look away when we see people who have fallen through the cracks of our society. No longer is it okay to be a part of the Haves, while neglecting the Have's Not. No longer is it acceptable for politicians to speak great words of wisdom as to how they plan to help the disenfranchised, only to have their words end up as empty promises. I refuse to stand by while so many need help. I refuse to stand by and look the other way, and I refuse to sleep in my home, while so many call home, the streets of America. This has to change and we are all in this together.
The Have's and the Have's Not, we are all one people, and as one people we must rise and do what we can to ensure that no one, no one anywhere gets left behind. This is my mission and I will not rest, until children, the elderly and those that have been afflicted get the proper attention and care that they need in order to truly live in America. This is the most powerful country on earth people. It is inconceivable to me that we have so many who call the streets of America home, while politicians, and Wall Street continues to get the gold. We are not one country with many different people. We are one people who are all connected by one common thread.
I stand here today and I see many of you who have come to hear a message. I see your pain, and I see your suffering. While many of you are new to the ranks of the disenfranchised, due to the current economy, you also join a group of people all across this land that have waited too long and suffered too much, and have endured great pain and sacrificed. We are all one people. No matter if you are black or white, Asian or Latino... we are one people, and I refused to look the other way at your suffering.
I stand here today with a message. A simple message. A message of hope. Of forgiveness. But I also stand here with a much more powerful message. The message of love, and how that love will lead us out of despair if we all work together to ensure that as one people, we will make it to the other side... together. Therefore I say to you, as I have said in many parts of this nation, I will do what I can, I will urge whomever I can speak to, and I will challenge whomever I need to challenge, to get our voices heard. This economy will not get better in weeks or in months. We will continue to hear empty promises from all corners of our political system. But be sure of one thing, government is not the answer, the people are. People like you and I, who are tired of this struggle, and want the very best for our children and our elderly, but have no way of obtaining that help. Therefore is in incumbent on each of us to stand tall and begin the process of working together for one common cause.
In the olden days, HE taught us to fish, so that we might never go hungry. Today that same principle applies now more than ever. I am here today to being to teach the principles of survival in difficult times. There is no easy answer, but if we all apply ourselves towards working towards a solution, then and only then will be able to find a way out this darkness and into the light.
I can stand here today and I can speak wonderful words. I can inspire all of you to see that a better day is coming, but I also know that my words will not get us there, but my heart is in the right place, and I am determined to work hard and make a difference in not only your life, but the lives of so many others who have lost there way.
Today, we begin a four-day free seminar. In these four days many things will happen. You will become inspired and hopeful and you will learn many things, but it is all for naught if you leave here the same way that you walked in. In this seminar, I will teach you what you must Master in your own life, in order to make in this world. There is no other way. And certainly, there are no short cuts. So I urge you to listen, participate and immerse yourself in what is about to happen here. My hope is that you will become so empowered that you will create a solution to your challenges today here and now. But know one thing, though you take this seminar, and despite the fact that it is free, I will tell you this, you will have to earn each of the steps. Anything that is free or that comes easy in life is not earned, and when it is not earned, it is never valued. So earn this day and the next. Be a part of the internal change that will become you. Stand up and be proud of who and what you are. Let no one, make you feel second-class, and always strive to be the very best in all that you do.
Finally, we were all born with some important things in life. Our Word. Our dignity. Many of us like I have, have destroyed this by what we have done and by what we have become. But it is not too late to change and to earn what we have lost or given away. It is not over until it is over. So as you begin this seminar, I urge you to search deep within you. Look inside and discover where you have been, and where your dreams will take you. Many of you know me or have heard of me. I have made so many mistakes in life that I am embarrassed to admit them. But admitting them is a must in order to move forward. Learn who you are, and once you do you will be able to build a new foundation upon what you will build and eventually become. Dream your dreams. I do each and every day. And trust me, I have made more mistakes in my lifetime that will surprise you, but I have also learned the power of forgiveness. I needed to forgive me, before I was able to allow others to forgive me. This seminar will literally shock you with what you are all about to learn, and I promise you, this will not be the last time that you will see me. Never think that I am here one day and gone the next. I am here and I am only a telephone call or an email away. and I do accept collect calls.

Those of you that know me know that I am a master at successfully achieving the impossible. My life has been nothing short of thinking of an idea and turning it into reality. For the past thirty years, I have turned around national corporations that were at the brink of bankruptcy and inspired new life by turning them into powerful organizations that compete with only one thing in mind: Being and operating 'Second to None.' I have done the same for people who lost hope, and together we found a way to turn their dreams. . . into reality.
Now, comes a new idea. We have all seen ABC's Extreme Make Over where they find a family that deserves a new home and surprises them by building it free of charge. This is a show that keeps on giving. It is the concept of giving back that I love so much.
Here is my idea: Instead of a house that we give, imagine if you will using this same concept to turn lives around that have been broken. What I do is to take people are at their lowest ebb; "Broken" and living in despair and over a short period of time, send them back out into the real world "Whole and with all of the tools and inner desire to literally make their dreams a successful reality." This is turning my dream of helping others into a whole new virtual reality.
In this program you will be able to see and learn how I do it. I will show how people just like you and I who have lost their way, find new hope not in others, but in themselves. New hope to pick themselves up after a fall, and rebuild their lives and literally fulfill their highest dreams. Is it really possible in today's gloomy economic forecast? You bet! It is only gloomy if you want it to be. I have done it over and over again in my own life, and now, I will share how I do it with others.

BACKGROUND:
People all over the world know that I am a Master at successfully accomplishing anything I dream to do. (The word dream is important to remember here.) People know that I have the talent and skills to literally accomplish the impossible. For thirty-seven years I have done just that. If given a life of lemons, I will turn it into lemonade each and every time. Now there is a real difference in that statement. I never said that I would try to turn a life of lemons into lemonade; I said that I will turn it into lemonade. And there is no doubt about it either!
This is what I have done all of my life and I continue to empower, inspire and motivate people all across the world to turn their lives around, and I show them step by step how to do it. Far to many times, I have had to start from scratch and rebuild my own life, and when I did, I did it against all odds, and I was successful at everything I set out to do. Why? Because I was determined not to become dependent on others but independent on myself and my inner ability and desire to WIN at all costs. I refused to allow myself to dwell in the "poor me" syndrome, and I refused to wait on others to help me to stand up and make things happen. I knew early on, "No one was going to help me but ME, so I better get busy and claimed my life back."
It makes no sense that I have these skills and not share them with others. So this was the birth of a plan. A plan that caught the eye of national television. Now, I am teaching others how to stand up and be counted and when given a life of lemons, how to turn those lemons into lemonade.
So here is the plan:
People all across the world know that I have no problem getting a job. When I set out to get a CEO job with only a GED, I did so, not once, but thirty-seven times at some of America's most well known corporations. Now, I teach others how to get a high paying job, a place to live and savings in the bank and how to live out their dreams even in this very difficult economy. Listen carefully: "If you really want to work... you can. Nothing and no one will stop you, but YOU."
SETTING:
I have a beautiful four-bedroom home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I know, God's Country right? However a four bedroom home is slightly too big for one small guy like me. So I am turning my home into my workshop. I am seeking four people (two women and two men of any age over eighteen) who have lost their way and in a few short weeks, I will send them back into their community, employed, with an apartment and savings in the bank. But more important than that, they will have in them the desire to succeed at anything that they chose to do. They will live new, whole and improved lives They will not only be capable of success but they will exude success. I will teach them everything that I know, and I don't accept "can't" as an excuse. This is not a course for slackers. But it is a course for people who want to change their lives and achieve!
Life at The Fred Brito Project will be tough. It is more powerful than any boot camp ever created. This is where people who desire will get, and nothing is for free. If I give things for free, it is not earned. For me, things that are not earned and sacrificed for, are never valued because you never earned them through hard work. Only through hard work, will these people be able to over come barriers and obstacles that stand in our way each and every day. Walls are not there to keep us out of things. Walls are there to encourage us to work hard to get inside. These four people will have food and clothes and a place to live and I promise one thing: "If you listen to me, and work hard, I will show you how easy it is to Win each and every time in anything they chose to do in life. No One stops you, but you!
